Greetings, y’all –

So here we are on page 3 and what do we have? Possibly the first time I’ve called Kain “bug-eyed” in the context of the story. You know, when I was designing him it’s not like I specifically said “let’s give him eyes that look like a pair of albino boobs”; it just went that way. Sure, now, I’m thinking maybe they’re a little much, but what can I do? It’s part of the guy, gotta roll with it.

And what else do we have… someone who knows Kain? Or rather, thinks he knows him as Jerry? What’s THAT about? You’ll find out a little more on Sunday, I can tell you that much. Also, please note that there won’t be a post on Friday the 25th, because this freelancer is taking a day off for Christmas. But as fate would have it, the following post on Dec. 30th is our first full-pager in Salvager Kain #6: page 4. I may have mentioned it, but there will be a few full-page panels in SK6, each from a different character’s internal perspective. Here’s some fun for you: see if you can figure out how many characters are in this crowded subterranean room right now (living or dead), and then try to guess: who haven’t we heard from yet? That’s a bit of a hint on who we’ll be learning more about very soon.

Alright, see you on Sunday. If I have my act together I’ll assemble my proof about how there are characters from the late 70’s sitcom Soap given speaking lines in a few old John Byrne issues of The Fantastic Four. That’s some act.
