I used to write the issues with an understanding that Kain might die at the end. Have I mentioned this before? It kept things fresh for me, low on the commitment end, and really underscored the “temporary survival quality” that both Kain’s current existence and my efforts at minicomics shared.
Well you’ll all be encouraged to know that I’ve just found the way to pull it off for this online “Tunnel Vision” arc. I was getting worried… the poor bug-eyed bastard was looking like he had an extended stay ahead of him, owing to the extended storyline. Well, thanks to last night’s ice cream & coffee epiphany (how do other writers work?) … that illusion of longer-term safety is no more!
What am I saying? I’m saying watch out, Kain — your days very well could be numbered!
Oh, wait. I see by the top right corner that they already are. Well alright then. Maybe I’ll just start counting down, not up.
