Good afternoon, friends. What’s happening today? I’m trying to cut a swath through all the junk that collects in the studio — everything behind the computer — to find the drawing table, and resume drawing. But since it’s posting day, I haven’t got there yet.
Not much to say about today’s installment, other than it starts the final scene for SK #5. I’m also recycling the backgrounds from the previous scene, so you may think “we’re in the same place”, BUT WE’RE NOT.
Also: in the absence of any kind of “home page” for Salvager Kain (at least, on this site), there seems no better place than here to put a collection of links to other sites’ reviews of SK. So, if you care to read what other folks have said about Salvager Kain issues 1-4 (meaning, all the story that came before what you can read at this site), check these out.
First, we have the fine folks at Optical Sloth, who’ve done a truly stellar job of reviewing a whole bunch of my work. You can read their page about me over here.
Then, we have the brief-yet-still-appreciated SK blurb over at a place called Poopsheet, which I didn’t name. Here’s a link to them.
Lastly, there’s the Mini Skinni, a new blog for reviewing minicomics, by Nat Cook. I think he liked what I’ve been doing, though it sounds like he’s saving final judgment until he gets a better idea of where the story’s going. Fair enough. You can go read the full review of his site over here.
Alright, a-drawing I will go. I’ll be back on Friday!
