Salvager Kain 511C

Hey, folks, good day to you. This is my first post since returning from the Heroes Convention 2009 in Charlotte, NC — where I had an amazing time, met lots of great folks and recorded my best convention sales records (and totals of fun!) to date — and I’m sure that for a bunch of you this is your first time here. Welcome!

Well, today you get the concluding panel of the first full scene to Salvager Kain #5 (also known as the webcomic) where it’s pretty clear Kain’s botched his plans to find His Way Back Home. Ha ha, that wacky bug-eyed idiot! For those of you who bought the first four issues at the con and are all caught up, this three-panel, few-words installment must be overwhelmingly unsatisfying. What can I tell you to make it up for you? At least it’s in color? Try reading in the many layers of subtext? Go back and re-read from the start?

The one thing I can offer you for today (and hopefully the next day or two following) is a bit of an account of my time at the Heroes con, which (for various reasons that aren’t entirely clear to me, either) I’m posting over at foolsgoldpress.com — my other comics site, the one dedicated more to news about all my comics projects. There’ll be personal anecdotes, pictures and the occasional hyperbolic rant. But don’t lose this page; be sure to subscribe to the RSS feed, for the next installment, coming to you as promised in just five more days. Don’t you want to see what happens next?
