This would be one of those times when I’m grateful for the buffer of ready-to-go pages. It’s been a pretty nutty two week stretch, with the other non-comics work I do, and along the way I’ve watched my buffer drop down, page after page. And true to my work schedule, I had no idea May would get this nutty. So — a good endorsement for me to build up that buffer again the moment I get a break. And after my 6 a.m. wake-up call on this fine working Monday on what others call a long holiday weekend… this ain’t it.
Story-wise, I’m sure some folks (well, maybe a couple) who’ve read the SK issues see some of the same points being made in these first few pages of SK online. Like Kain & Spit discussing “what’s worth what” in this post. Yes, this is part of that re-cap I mentioned I’d be doing as the story moved along. It’s all details that I want people who haven’t read the comics to keep in mind as things move forward.
Also, just a quick reminder (I’ll be doing this every so often in the next few weeks) — I’ll be attending the 2009 Heroes Con in Charlotte, North Carolina, from June 19-21. I wouldn’t think it fair to bill myself as a “Hero” exactly, but come to the table and I’ll try to do something honorable or chivalrous or inspiring or something. (I wonder if there’s a Villain Con?)
