Salvager Kain

It’s cool that the increase of traffic here to the site coincides with the point where this story is finally (finally!) starting to hook up with where we left off with in issue #4. On the one hand the story moves a lot quicker now that it’s online — quicker to you, at least, rather than waiting for me to finish a whole issue. But, as you can probably see, it also seems to take…. so…. long to get much momentum to the plot when all I throw you is a few panels every couple of days. And at that pace, we’ve finally reached the point where the narrative has caught up with Kain’s journey, Already In Progress!

Here’s my intentions, for those so interested: first and foremost, I want to keep telling this story as professionally as I can at the pace I’ve promised, and never be late. That’s step one. Step two is to quicken that pace, when I figure I can safely keep step one secure. Step three is the foxtrot, step four is the tango, and steps five through eight are really tricky and I can only pull them off once I’ve had a couple drinks. Somewhere in there is where the marketing and promotion and networking needs to happen… the reviews, the tweeting, the plugging myself on message boards, the “telling you what I’m doing besides working”… but it’s all really about step one, for now: doing the comic as good as I can, at the pace I’ve set out, with an aim to increase frequency to two updates a week. I hope that pays off in the long run.
